Welcome to my web site. I have built this web site to support my newsletter "Thebes Digest". Since Topica (my newsletter host) would only archive past issues of my newsletter in text format, I had to find a way of providing them in HTML format, which is the format which I want you all to see. My name is Hazem El-Oraby. I'm 24 years old and I live in Cairo, Egypt. That's why you will find some of the newsletter content focused on the Middle East. I am a physician. I graduated March 2000. I haven't specialized in anything yet but I really love Cardiology. I have created Thebes Digest in my free time. Computers have been my hobby since 1989. My first PC was a 286 20MHz IBM Compatible machine with 2 MB RAM, 40 MB hard disk, 256 color monitor, 256Kb VGA card and two 5.25" floppy drives. At that time it was a wonder. I had tons of software yet I was not able to fill up my 40 MB hard disk. At that time the word "Multimedia" was not even invented. So what I'm trying to say here is that I'm doing this as a hobby that I really love and I'm gonna do my best to make this newsletter something I could be proud of. If you like my newsletter, please tell others about it. Help spread the word. I wish you would forgive me if there is something you don't like about it, tell me what it is and I will try to get it straightened up. PS: The music you are hearing is the national anthem for Egypt. |
